ORCA Labs exists to advance understanding of life with hearing loss. Our mandate is to help foster better solutions today than were available yesterday and our success is measured by our contribution to progress.
We understand and mirror real-life situations to improve the quality of real lives. For as many as possible among the more than 1,600 million people who suffer from hearing loss globally. Throughout their lives. Because life with hearing loss doesn’t start the day you get an aid. For some it begins with a baby screening, for others with a pre-school test.
For most people, awareness of a hearing loss starts later in life. Today, the journey from awareness to action is long and at the expense of quality of life. Our research can help shorten the span and improve adaptation once a step to improve hearing is taken.
ORCA Labs contribute to the understanding of hearing loss worldwide because of the little “s” in Labs. It signifies that there is more than one home in our family. Structural trends like growing populations, increasing noise exposure, and aging populations are globally shared, but the ways they impact are different from geography to geography.
